This popular 2004 book surpassed my expectations. To look at it I expected one of these quickie books on human behavior that fill bookstores. But what differentiates this book is that the authors have many years of experience in the field. They also have done a lot of research of the finding of others. What resulted is a book that for the most part rings true. Whether trying to hone your acting skills or to get a date I recommend this book.

This book is a wonderful way to understand the mechanics of another art form. It takes an analytic approach that would be home in an English Department. Not just for comic enthusiasts, for anyone who enjoys how art and literature work.

An very engaging Mystery/Thriller with a unique pare of characters. The usual tense father son dynamic is turned on it's head with a father who is both a former spy and an Alzheimer's disease sufferer. Quite fun. (I am just so curious if those tunnels under Columbia really exist.)

The go to Dickens book in my High School was "A Tale of Two Cities" so I had never read one of the great works of English literature. It took me two pages to realize that Dickens had a wicked sense of humor that was absent from "Tale". The humor, the gallery of quirky characters and a compelling story make this a fun read. I highly recommend it.

I really didn't want to read this book but it seemed there was no way to escape it. Surprisingly, I found it a engaging YA novel that is full to the brim with many truly emotional moments.
